Foundation Board
Most important Duties
- it defines general guidelines for the work of the foundation;
- it appoints the chairman of the Foundation Board (who is also Rector);
- it decides on the budget.
Two members of the state government of Lower Saxony and two from the Senate of the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen belong to the Foundation Board. In addition the board contains the President of the Carl von Ossietzky University Oldenburg, the Rector of the University of Bremen, the Mayor of the City of Delmenhorst and up to six personages from science, business and politics. The Rector of the HWK and the Chairman of the Scientific Advisory Board participate in the sessions of the Foundation Board in an advisory capacity.
