Friends of the HWK

The Verein der Freunde und Förderer des Hanse-Wissenschaftskollegs in Delmenhorst e.V. ("Association of Friends and Sponsors of the Hanse Institute for Advanced Study in Delmenhorst"), founded in 2002, welcomes individuals and legal entities as members. The objectives of the association are presented in Article 2 of the association charter under the heading "Purpose of the Association":

"The purpose of the association is to sponsor and support the Hanse-Wissenschaftskolleg in Delmenhorst, especially its new field of activity in the transdisciplinary Research of Violence and all scientific tasks associated therewith, and to assist in the creation of the financial prerequisites for the field of Research of Violence, especially through the collection of donations. The association is a support organisation in accordance with Article 58 No. 1 of the Fiscal Code which uses its funds exclusively to sponsor the tax-privileged entity ‘Hanse-Wissenschaftskolleg."

The association pursues exclusively and directly non-commercial aims in accordance with the statute on ‘Tax-Privileged Aims’ (‘Steuerbegünstigte Zwecke’) of the Fiscal Code.
