Symposium "The Artful Brain - Perspectives in Neuroesthetics"
Neuroesthetics is a relatively young scientific discipline which endeavors to analyze the cognitive and neural mechanisms of art perception. On December 9 - 10, 2010, Hanse-Wissenschaftskolleg (Institute for Advanced Study) in Delmenhorst will hold the international symposium on ‘The Artful Brain – Perspectives in Neuroesthetics’. The Hanse-Wissenschaftskolleg invites applications from graduate and postgraduate students who are interested in attending the symposium.
The symposium will focus on the relationship between arts/music and neuroscience, including both conceptual and experimental approaches. It will bring together leading researchers from different scientific fields such as neurobiology of vision and hearing, arts, music, psychology, philosophy, and art theory.
