Conferences

In addition to fellowships, the HWK’s activities have an additional emphasis: the organisation and execution of scientific conferences in its main working areas and on interdisciplinary questions oriented towards the future. Details about the spectrum of subjects covered by HWK conferences are provided in the chronological overviews of the events held in the areas of Energy Research, the Marine and Climate Research, the Neurosciences and Cognitive Sciences and the Social Sciences.

Applications for conferences may be submitted at any time, ideally about one year before the planned conference date. The ultimate decision about holding such events is left to the Rector in consultation with the Scientific Advisory Board of the HWK.
